A favorite getaway for many a city dweller, Cuernavaca, is well-known for its flowers that seem to bloom and grow all year round, creating a beautiful backdrop for this historic place.

Cuernavaca represents centuries of history with landmarks like the Palacio de Cortés, the Cathedral, Teopanzolco Pyramids, the natural beauty of its gardens, and relaxed atmosphere that will appeal to its visitors. Cuernavaca, the capital of the tiny state of Morelos, known for its year round "eternal spring" climate (average temperature 70-85 F. / 20-28 C.). It is a city of 800,000 inhabitants located 50 miles south of Mexico City.

Keep in mind that Cuernavaca is not a big city. In fact, a lot of traditions still remain like the fiestas and ferias. Perhaps the most famous are the "Feria de Tlaltenago” and the Fiesta in honor of Saint Michael. Both take place during the month of September. There is folklore, local food, music, fireworks, the unique Chinelos and plenty of things to see and buy.
